Serve your way to greatness

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”.” (Mark 10:45 ESV)

The greatest among you serve

“The greatest among you shall be your servant.” (Matt. 23:11 ESV)

 Be a servant of all

“And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.” (Mark 9:35 ESV)

It is more blessed to give than receive

“In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35-36 ESV)

Therefore…

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” (Heb. 5:13 NIV)
