Happy Thanksgiving!

You can decide to be thankful

The famous Victorian preacher, Charles Spurgeon, was once a victim of robery. When he was asked about it, he said he was truly thankful for several reasons. “First, although I was robbed and everything I had was taken, it wasn’t much. Secondly, all I lost were things, not my life. And lastly, I’m thankful that I was the one being robbed and not the one doing the robbing.”

Being thankful and grateful is the correct decision to make, no matter what things may sometimes look like. It’s a positive attitude to “let rule in your hearts”.

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Col. 3:15-17)

Therefore

It is a positive thing to have an attitude of gratitude. We all do have so much to be thankful for! (Take a moment to Incert your personal gratitude list here).
