Jesus died on the cross to prove God's love for us!

 “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Rom 5:8 NLT)

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NASB)

Jesus’ great act of love!

 “No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again. For this is what my Father has commanded." (John 10:18 NLT)

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13 NIV)

Therefore, you should love others, too! 

“We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters.” (1 John 3:16 NLT)

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” (John 15:12 NIV)
