God leads you in the truth and teaches you!

"Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.” (Psalm 25:4-5 NASB)

Looking ahead by faith

In the Old Testament many cried out to God asking for salvation and for His personal leading. They we're looking ahead by faith and longing for things to come.

“I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn't see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn't hear it.” (Matt. 13:17 NLT)

“Teach me, and I will be silent; And show me how I have erred.” (Job 6:24 NASB)

We have what they longed because of Jesus!

What they in the Old Testament were longing for, we have in reality because of what Jesus Christ did on the cross to make it so! We are fortunate to have a personal and intimate relationship with God!

“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.” (John 16:13 NASB)

“But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.” (Gal. 5:18 NASB)

“So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.” (2 Peter 1:19 NASB)
