God is in your midst
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” (Zeph. 3:17 ESV)
From the above passage, we learn seven important things about God and His relationship with you
- He is your God: Another verse says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isa. 41:10 ESV)
- He is in your midst: Another verse says He will never leave or forsake you (Heb. 13:5).
- He is mighty: Another verse says, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.” (Isa. 40:28-29 ESV)
- He will save: Another verse says, “For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Rom. 10:13 ESV)
- He will rejoice over you with gladness: Another verse says, “He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy.” (Psalm 105:43 NIV)
- He will quiet you with is love: Another verse says, “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” (1 John 4:16 ESV)
- He will exalt over you with loud singing: Another verse says, “He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.” (Psalm 49:3 ESV)
