God is a giver! He gives children!

“Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. (Psalm 127:3 ESV)

Children are like blessed arrows

“Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.” (Psalms 127:4-5 ESV)

Blessed children of the righteous

“The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him!” (Prov. 20:7 ESV)

“Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock.” (Deut. 28:4 ESV)

Therefore…

“Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Eph. 6:4 ESV)
