God has given you control over fear
“The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid.” (Psalm 27:1 NIV)
FEAR: the feeling or condition of being afraid; the loss of courage in the presence or anticipation of danger; dread, fright, alarm, panic, terror, trepidation.
Fear is a powerful tool of the enemy and God wants us to remain strong and courageous in the face of fear and to know God is present and will strengthen and uphold you. We are told not to fear 365 times in the Bible, one for each day of the year!
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isa. 41:10 ESV)
God has given control over fear
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” (2 Tim. 1:7 ESV)
Cast all your fears on Him
“Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7 ESV)
Therefore…
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” (Psalm 56:3-4 ESV)
