Be joyful and do good

“I perceived that there is nothing better for them than to be joyful and to do good as long as they live; also that everyone should eat and drink and take pleasure in all his toil—this is God's gift to man.” (Eccles: 3:12-13 ESV)

God prepared you to walk in good works

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Eph. 2:10 ESV)

Therefore…

  • Trust and do good faithfully “Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.” (Psalm 37:3 ESV)
  • Serve with gladness and singing  “Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!” (Psalm 100:2 ESV)
  • Don’t give up  “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Gal. 6:9 ESV)
