Christ-like behavior
“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.” (Eph. 5:1-2 ESV)
Walk how Jesus walked
“Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.” (1 John 2:6 ESV)
“For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.” (1 Peter 2:21 ESV)
Be imitators of God
“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” (1 Cor. 11:1 ESV)
Three things a Christian should NEVER say
1) I hate you
“Anyone who hates another brother or sister is really a murderer at heart. And you know that murderers don’t have eternal life within them. (1 John 3:15 NLT)
2) I will never forgive you
“And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” (Mark 11:25 ESV)
“Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times? “Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” (Matt. 18:21-22 NIV)
3) I will get you back for that
“Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you.” (Prov. 2:22 ESV)
“'Vengeance is Mine, and retribution, In due time their foot will slip; For the day of their calamity is near, And the impending things are hastening upon them.’” (Deut. 32:35 NASB)
