God enlarges you

“…thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress…” (Psalm 4:1 KJV)

There is no way to completely avoid trouble as long as you’re in this world

“…In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 NLT)

Jesus has overcome the world, and, as His follower, so should you!

When troubles and distressing things come your way you can take heart knowing you have Jesus, who is bigger than your problems. The passage at the top says, “thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress.”

The one within you is greater

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” (1 John 4:4 NIV)

Therefore…

“What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31)

“…because everyone born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.” (1 John 5:4)
