When giving

“The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously.” (Psalm 37:21 NIV)

God loves a cheerful giver

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” (2 Cor. 9:7 NIV)

Give and it will be given to you 

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38 NIV)

“A generous person will prosper;
whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” (Prov. 11:25 NIV)

Do not withhold good when it is in your power to act

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.” (Prov. 3:27 NIV)

Therefore…

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.” (Prov. 3:9 ESV)

“For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.” (2 Cor. 8:12 NIV)

“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” (1 Cor. 29:14 NIV)
