God is your stronghold in the day of trouble

Today’s Promise to Memorize* 

“The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.” (Nahum 1:7 NKJV) 

This above passage has three promises in it: 1) God is good, 2) God is a stronghold in the day of trouble, and 3), God knows those who trust Him.

“The salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is their stronghold in time of trouble.The LORD helps and delivers them; He rescues and saves them from the wicked, because they take refuge in Him.” (Psalm 37:39-40)

“For the LORD is good, and His loving devotion endures forever; His faithfulness continues to all generations.” (Psalm 100:5)

“I am the good shepherd. I know My sheep and My sheep know Me,” (John 10:14)

A Reminder

*Over the next few days I am posting Bible promises every believer MUST know (and commit to memory) to be fully equipped no matter what faced with. Meditate on them and memorize them. 

 Proven ways to help memorize:

1.     Hand write it on 3x5 card.

2.     Always include the Bible reference at the beginning and repeat it again at the end. 

3.     Read it through several times and think about what it means (mediate on it). 

4.     Say it out loud a few times.  

5.     Refer to it throughout the day and say it to yourself (a few words at a time if necessary) until you can say it correctly without looking.
