Kindly and gently help others who stumble return to God!
“Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.” (Gal. 6:1 NLT)
Christian should NOT be devouring one another!
It breaks my heart to observe often that those who call themselves fellow Christians, attack another brother or sister in Christ who may have publicly failed in some way, or who they simply disagree with theologically. It shouldn't be that way.
“But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.” (Gal. 5:15 ESV)
No one is perfect
All stumble and do “fall short.” (Rom. 3:23). Therefore, always be kind, tender hearted and forgiving!
“Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (Eph. 4:32 ESV)
Outdo one with genuine love!
“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.” (Rom. 12:9-13 ESV)
Have sympathy, brotherly love and a tender heart!
“Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude. Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing. For the Scriptures say, ‘If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.’”
