Abound in Every Good Work
“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (2 Cor. 8:8)
According to the promise at the top, “God is able to bless you abundantly.” And “why would He choose to do that?” you may ask. The answer is found in the same passage: “So that at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” In other words, God blesses you abundantly so that you can successfully do good work.
Therefore
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph. 2:10).
And your enrichment and generosity will produce thanksgiving to God.
“He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.” (2 Cor. 8:10-11)
