When you’re lonely

Short but powerful promise

“I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!”

Therefore

“If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.” (Psalms 139:7-10 ESV)

When you’re tired

Short but powerful promise

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Therefore

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matt. 11:28-30)

When you’re afraid

Short but powerful promise

“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; (Isa. 41:19a)

Therefore

“I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isa. 41:10b)

When you’re sick

Short but powerful promise

“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.” (James 5:14)

Therefore

“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” (James 5:15)
