“Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 13:14)
The name of Jesus, God in the flesh (see John 1:1), is very powerful for his children to call upon and use. This wonderful promise becomes true for believers as soon as they call on the name of Jesus and are “born again” into his family. (See John 3:1-8).
“For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Rom. 10:13 ESV)
There is salvation in no other name under heaven
“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 ESV)
You are justified in His Name
“And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Cor. 6:11 ESV)
Ask in the Name of Jesus
“Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13 ESV)
While you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” (Acts 4:30 ESV)
Even demons are subject to you in His Name
“The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”
Therefore
“Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.” (Phil. 3:9-10 NIV)
