Today’s Promise to Memorize*
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Rom. 15:13)
Additional References
“For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.” (Rom. 15.4 ESV)
“For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” (Rom. 8:24:25 ESV)
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” (1 Peter 1:3 ESV)
A Reminder
*Over the next few days I am posting Bible promises every believer MUST know (and commit to memory) to be fully equipped no matter what they are faced with. Meditate on them and memorize them.
Proven ways to help memorize:
1. Hand write it on 3x5 card.
2. Always include the Bible reference at the beginning and repeat it again at the end.
3. Read it through several times and think about what it means (mediate on it).
4. Say it out loud a few times.
5. Refer to it throughout the day and say it to yourself (a few words at a time if necessary) until you can say it correctly without looking.
